Quick Facts
FAQ
When is the best time for a yacht charter in Thailand?
November through April (Northeast Monsoon / dry season) offers the best conditions: calm Andaman Sea, excellent visibility and no rain. May–October is the Southwest Monsoon — wetter and windier on the west coast, though the Gulf of Thailand side (Koh Samui, Koh Tao) remains calm in summer.
What are the must-visit destinations on a Thailand yacht charter?
Phang Nga Bay (James Bond Island), the Similan Islands (closed June–October), Phi Phi Islands (Maya Bay), Ko Rok Nok (pristine reef), Koh Lanta and Koh Racha. A 10-day itinerary from Phuket can cover all key Andaman destinations with excellent anchoring.
What permits are needed to charter a yacht in Thailand?
Foreign-flagged yachts require a Thai customs clearance, port clearance from the Harbourmaster and, for some Marine National Parks (Similan, Surin), a park entry permit. Our Phuket team handles all permit coordination. Commercial charter yachts require Thai Maritime Department licensing.
