What is the best time to charter a yacht in the Bahamas?
November through May is peak season, with the best weather and calmest seas. December–March is particularly popular. June–October carries hurricane risk (season officially runs June 1–November 30), but many yachts remain available with significant discounts.
What is the best Bahamas itinerary for a superyacht?
The 7-day Exumas circuit from Nassau is the classic choice: Nassau → Allan's Cay (iguanas) → Compass Cay (nurse sharks) → Staniel Cay (Pig Beach, Thunderball Grotto) → Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park → Shroud Cay → back to Nassau. 10-day itineraries extend south to Long Island or north to the Abacos.
Are superyachts able to navigate the Exumas?
Most of the Exumas chain is accessible to yachts with a draft under 2.5–3m. Larger superyachts (60m+) can typically access Staniel Cay, Compass Cay and Shroud Cay anchorages. Our captains have extensive Exumas experience for draft-restricted navigation.
